Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia will hold joint military exercises; this agreement was reached at a meeting of defense ministers of the three countries in Nahchivan. This was announced on Tuesday by the head of the defense department of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov.
The minister said that the objective of the exercise is to increase the military efficiency of the armed forces.
During of Nakhchivan meeting of the defense ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia - Zakir Hasanov, Ismet Yilmaz and Iraklii Alasania also agreed to hold meetings in this format twice a year, the organization of joint seminars and conferences, creating of trilateral format in military education and cooperation in the military technical sphere, said Hasanov.
The minister said that it is planned to organize meetings of experts to explore promising areas of cooperation.
The defense ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia have also discussed the military-political situation in the region, had an exchange of views on issues of security and restore stability in the region.
The parties also noted the effectiveness of development cooperation in this format.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with 52% of the vote, won the presidential race in Turkey after counting 98% of the ballots, according to preliminary results of the election committee.

Second and third place in both metropolitan areas are divided between Ihsanoglu (43.5% and 41.16) and Demirtas (3.5% and 9.1%). Erdogan won more than 50% of the vote in the 51 provinces. Unique archaeological finds were discovered on Pikris Gora (mountain) in the town of Mtskheta (the ancient capital of Georgia, located near Tbilisi) during construction works on private site in the territory of old graves, according to the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.
By law, the construction works has been suspended and for the archaeologists began investigations who work on the Pikris Gora (mountain) since the end of July - when finds were discovered. In the study area they have discovered and studied early medieval burial, among them - five kinds of burials.
"In places of burials were found gold rings, hooks for clothes and a gold coin of the Byzantine Emperor Constantine VIII (1025-1028), that confirms that the citizens of Mtskheta were buried in the burial ground of Pikris Gora (mountain) not only in the IV-VI centuries, but also in the Middle Ages "- is said on the official website of the department.
