Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri during his official visit to Germany will meet with his German counterpart Thomas de Maiziere and president of the Federal Criminal Police Holger Munch.
During his visit to Germany Gomelauri will be accompanied by his deputy Levan Izoria, director of the Department of International Relations Shalva Kvinikhidze and the Director of the Central Criminal Police Ivane Papiashvili.
At the meeting will be considered "progress achieved in the implementation of the Action Plan visa liberalization with the EU, bilateral cooperation in the field of police and plans for the future", says the press service of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
In addition, is planned to visit the training base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany, where Georgian delegation will get acquainted with the activities of the Berlin police and will assist at the demonstration exercise.
According to the Georgian Interior Ministry, cooperation between German and Georgian ministries in recent years turned into an active phase. In July 2014, during a visit of Alexander Chikaidze to Germany, who that time headed the Interior Ministry signed an agreement on "Cooperation between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in the fight against organized crime, terrorism and other serious crimes".

Azerbaijan intends to learn the experience of Georgia in the field of agriculture. This was stated by representatives of Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan delegation at a meeting with the head of the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture Otar Daneliya, as it was reported.
The Georgian side briefed the guests on projects that have been implemented in the country in recent years to develop the agricultural sector.
The parties also discussed the projects that are being implemented in Azerbaijan irrigation system, introduction of new technologies, and the purchase of European equipment for the agricultural sector. The Georgian side has taken a special interest in the experience of Azerbaijan in the field of agricultural leasing.
"For us it is very important to listen to our neighbors, who have ten years of experience in the field of agricultural leasing, and their opinion is very interesting for me. I think that we will be able to organize Agroforum with participation of Azerbaijani and Georgian businessmen. Such form of communication will give us the opportunity to learn from each other" - said the Georgian minister.
At the meeting Daneliya spoke about the new challenges that are associated with the signing of Georgia association agreement with the EU. He stressed, that in this regard Georgia introduced new approaches and standards.
Today, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, David Bakradze took part in the Conference "European Eastern Neighborhood – between the Authoritarian and Democratic Transition”, held in Sweden, where the discussion was held on the topic "What can and shall EU do”.
EU will observe voting process and media monitoring for local elections in Georgia. Vice Prime Minster of Georgia Giorgi Baramidze received letter from EU. As Baramidze’s office informs InterpressNews, the letter says that EU is ready to actively involve in election monitoring issues.
