Mikheil Saakashvili held bilateral meetings with the President of Bulgaria and the Prime Minister of Denmark

The President of Georgia held a bilateral meeting with the President of Bulgaria Rosen Pnevneliev and the Prime Minister of Denmark Helle Thorning-Schmidt. Deepening relations among the countries and issues of Euro-integration of Georgia were among the most important topics of discussion. According to Rosen Plevneliev, Bulgaria supports Georgia’s NATO aspiration and welcomes the efforts of the country in terms of implementing democratic reforms.


The President of Georgia participated in working of the NATO Summit

The President of Georgia, who is currently attending the NATO Summit in Chicago as a result of an invitation by the NATO Secretary General, took part in the working of the summit. Georgia was represented in meetings of every format during a two day summit, including the meetings of the ISAF format with the countries participating in the ISAF mission (28+ISAF); also in the meetings of the future NATO members (28+4) and meetings with main partners (28+13) during which Georgia was the only country from Eastern Europe. Georgia attended the meeting of the ISAF format for the first time this year, where up to 60 ISAF partner country leaders participated.


The President of Georgia toured the rehabilitated hospital of Tsageri

The President of Georgia visited the Tsageri rehabilitated medical center today. After touring the clinic, Mikheil Saakashvili visited patients and talked to the medical personnel. The Head of State expressed interest in the health conditions of the patients as well as the general conditions at the clinic. 


Mikheil Saakashvili opened construction of the Kutaisi detour road

The President of Georgia laid a cornerstone at the construction of a new infrastructural project – the Kutaisi detour road. Mikheil Saakashvili arrived on site with the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure while symbolically creating the first trench by a tractor.


Sitting of the Committee on Agrarian Issues

The Committee on Agrarian Issues considered with the first reading the amendments that shall be introduced to the draft law on "Joint-Stock Company- the Partnership Fund” which regulates the objectives of the Partnership Fund and its governing structure.


The Chairman of the Parliament, David Bakradze met with the population of the City Zestaponi

The Chairman of the Parliament continues meetings with the population of the regions of Georgia. Today, in the city square, David Bakradze met with the local residents of Zestaponi and took personal interest in their problems.


The President of Georgia met with the Parliamentary delegation of Kyrgyzstan

The President of Georgia hosted a Parliamentary delegation of Kyrgyzstan today. The representatives of five divisions of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan are currently learning about the reforms of Georgia in the spheres of economy, healthcare, education as well as the police. The delegation is especially interested in the fight against corruption, because their aim is to share the Georgian experience. During the conversation with them, the President noted that there is a huge potential for democratic development in Kyrgyzstan and everything can be achieved in such conditions.


Giorgi Baramia and Giorgi Asanidze met with IDPs settled at Mukhiani, Tbilisi

Giorgi Baramia, Chairman of the Government of Abkhazia and Giorgi Asanidze, Georgian Parliament Majority Member met with IDPs from Abkhazia compactly settled at Mukhiani 2nd micro-region, Tbilisi. They got acquainted with the IDPs' living/social issues and promised to resolve them in their favor.


The President of Georgia attended the Munich Security Conference

The President of Georgia is participating in the Munich Security Conference. Mikheil Saakashvili addressed the participants of the forum and spoke about the reforms that have been implemented in Georgia since the Rose Revolution. The Head of State also drew attention to the security of the region. The Munich Security Conference panel was discussing democratic reforms in the Arab countries, which have embarked on the road to democratic transformation and Georgia was being reviewed as a positive example by the MSC panel.


The President of Georgia assessed the meeting with an American colleague

First of all, I would like to note that I have held meetings at the Oval Office before and all of them were good, but I have never left this room loaded with so many specific results; especially at a moment when this is very important for Georgia.
