In the Constitution of Georgia will be brought in amendments in order to correct errors said the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, speaking at the annual meeting of the heads of diplomatic missions of the country abroad in Tbilisi recently.
"Recently it has become apparent that the current model of the Constitution needs to be revised - for this purpose we have created a state commission, which will fix the errors that exist today and will exclude any provisions tailored to the specific political force. The country, after all, will have the Constitution, which will be adopted by a broad consensus, "- said Garibashvili.
As later declared head of government to reporters, Commission has already "working on correcting errors, which, unfortunately, have been found in the Constitution".
"There are a lot of obscure records, so it is needed to fix it in order to maximize the correct balance between the government, the parliament and the president. This is a workflow process; it is transparent - more transparent than it should be. I think before the end of the year we will have a final document - what should be the main law of the country", - said the prime minister.
But Garibashvili did not specify what amendments are meant.

The new model of the Constitution of Georgia was adopted by Parliament in October 2010 and became fully operational after the presidential election of 2013, which won a representative of the coalition "Georgian Dream" George Margvelashvili. According to the new model of the main law it significantly reduced presidential powers and was redistributed among the parliament and the government.
